Soni, an award winning media icon, is indeed a man of many parts; Broadcaster, Advertising Practitioner, Media Manager, Communication consultant, Trainer, Talk-show host and Toastmaster of international repute.
Apart from being a highly rated toast master, his TV talk-show on AIT 'Soni Irabor Live (SIL)' makes him one of Nigeria's most popular TV personalities of all time.
With a career of over three decades spanning radio and TV broadcast and Film, Irabor studied Mass Communications at the University of Lagos and trained as a speech trainer with The Radio Deutsche Weller, Koln, Germany. Irabor is best known for his newscasting prowess, compering and speech training expertise and his role as 'Small Teacher' in the highly successful comedy programme of the eighties, Second Chance.
He is a well travelled and highly versatile media practitioner whose expertise at handling numerous difficult PR and Media Relations assignments for clients has also earned him a lot of respect.
As a toastmaster, He performed the role of toast master, he has hosted numerous National and International events, including, OAU and ECOWAS Heads of Government Conferences and Corporate events.
In 2008 Soni hosted the prestigious NEPAD Business Forum in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire (March 2-5, 2008). In July of the same year, Soni Irabor Co-Hosted the CNN African Journalist of The Year Award, with CNN's Zain Verjee, where the then President John Kufor of Ghana played special Guest of Honour in Accra, Ghana
Soni is a former Special Adviser on Information and Orientation to the Edo State Government. He served as a member of the Advertising Standards Panel of APCON for more than seven years. He is the Chairman of the Nigerian Arts and Culture Directory Project and the African Regional Summit on Visual Arts (ARESUVA).
He started his broadcasting career at Radio Nigeria and rose to the position of Acting Director Marketing, after over 24 years rising from the post of Announcer/Presenter/Newsreader, Controller Presentation Training before he was seconded to the Marketing department and was appointed to the Advertising Standards Panel of APCON representing the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria, BON, 1993 t0 2000. Irabor has trained over 1000 broadcasters from different parts of Nigeria and Africa.
He is the Chairman of RUYI, an integrated marketing communications company. He is also a Director of Sonia Publications Ltd, publishers of the Genevieve Magazine and currently the CEO of the number one Family Radio Station, 92.3 Inspiration FM in Lagos.
Dan Foster is one of the most respected, loved and in demand On Air Personality in Africa with about twenty years in radio Broadcasting. As a young man, he joined the Marines and attended the Morgan State University in Baltimore where he studied Broadcasting and Drama. After cutting his teeth with a number of radio stations in the United States including the Mix 106.5 where he honed his skills in broadcasting, he moved to Lagos, Nigeria where he joined Cool fm and overhauled the Morning radio format into something to look forward to every morning and dominated the airwaves with his unique brand of hilarity, and engaging banter of an American on Nigerian soil. His broad expertise includes not only presenting, but producing and directing of programs and has created so many interesting contents that spice up shows and make listeners long for more.
His Morning Kiss Shout Out is a delight to couples and listeners find his phone taps hilarious. He is perceived to be a mentor to many and has personally trained a number of the nation's best presenters in radio. As a direct result of his professionalism and rare talent for presenting as well as his ingenuity, Cool fm rose to be one of the top radio stations in Lagos and Nigeria at large. In 2002, he received an award for Best Radio Presenter of the Year and has since won the 2003, 2004 and 2005 editions of Nigerian Media Merit Awards for Best Radio Personality. He was also recognized by the City Peoples Awards, a respected organization known for recognizing outstanding individuals who have touched the lives of the community. They named him the Media Person of the Year in 2004 and again in 2005.
He has taken his unrivalled style to Inspiration fm, the Number 1 family radio station in the country, where he helped create and brand the new radio station "Inspiration fm, the new sound of family radio" and the hot Sunday Morning Praise Jam. His always inspirational style and his uniqueness was a perfect fit as Head of Programs and production for 3 years. Currently, he is not only the presenter of the # 1 morning show "The Breakfast Jam" and the hot Sunday Morning Praise Jam; he has also been promoted to the position of the Director of Business Development. He created the Inspiration Family Praise Jam and a number of Programs such as the Inspiration Kids Club, the I-Network for job seekers, the 'Redbook' for singles, and other family inspirational programs on Inspiration fm. He is also a major advocate of the 92.3fm Inspiration Family Network.
Dan Foster has had a fruitful association with corporate Nigeria having served as consultant to a number of blue chip companies in their media campaigns such as Airtel, Globacom, MTN, e-Tranzact, Nokia, Etisalat, Samsung and many others etc.
Dan Foster's good standing within the industry, wide experience and diverse talents have made him a brand name to be reckoned with, not only in Nigeria, but across Africa and in the Diaspora. He is married to Lovina Foster, with children, Joshua, Daniella and Somtochukwu.
